Yael Klein
Yael offers a fun, compassionate teaching style which radiates positive energy and playfulness from the moment you step into class. She believes that yoga and meditation are the secret to ground us through the stresses of the every day, to help us release trauma and live a peaceful life.
Born and raised in Israel, with two years in Australia from eight to ten years old, Yael has known that yoga would be a large part of her life since about then. Walking with her parents through a market, she saw some yoga posture cards, and that was it, she just knew! 😀 She began properly exploring the world of yoga at 19, and would teach whatever she was learning in her practice to her fellow soldiers (Israel has compulsory military training) 10 minutes every morning – this is how she fell in love with teaching. Her love for yoga was declared openly in South India where she completed a 200hr teacher training at the Rama School of Yoga in Ashtanga’s teachings. She has also completed a 50hr training course with Body Mind Life in Sydney and is in the middle of studying Yoga Therapy with Nikola Ellis.
Even though it might have been the yoga posture cards that guided Yael to start yoga, she says she is definitely consciously choosing her yoga journey now “seeking real connection with my body and breath”.
Yael is also a sound healer and truly “believes in the power of sound (frequency) to help remove blockages from our bodies and minds”. After 12 months of teaching in Sydney and Byron Bay, Yael is now calling Mareeba home.
